The Maryland Optometric Association Mission Statement

The Maryland Optometric Association serves as the voice of optometry in Maryland to protect doctors and their patients. We advocate, educate and connect optometrists by strong advocacy efforts, providing premier educational resources, and engaging events that bring doctors and industry partners together.

The Maryland Optometric Association is committed to advancing and empowering optometry in the state of Maryland. We work collectively to increase our scope of practice. We are committed to providing excellent and cost-effective educational tools and resources to all our members. We connect optometrists with one another and their communities to strengthen our overall mission.

What We Do For You

• We support individual optometrists by providing premium educational opportunities, strong federal and state advocacy, premier social events, and business resources to optimize the practice of optometry.
• We support optometric practices by providing marketing and networking opportunities, access to industry partners, convenient and affordable continuing education for employees, and advocacy efforts that improve the practice and protect provider rights.
• We support our partners by providing exclusive marketing opportunities that promote engagement with our members on a professional and personal level.
